Ryan Rasmussen is the Head of Research at Bitwise Asset Management, the world's first and largest cryptocurrency index fund and the company leading the charge on the creation of a Bitcoin ETF in the United States. He focuses on fundamental research and education material about all aspects of crypto assets. Rasmussen began his research career in Sydney, Australia, where he spent time as a research associate at UK Trade & Investment and delivered research reports to the Senior Economist at the British High Commission. Before Bitwise, was FP&A manager and held a variety of corporate finance roles at Cetera Financial Group, a leading network of independent broker dealers with over 8,000 financial advisors and $300 billion in assets under administration. Before Cetera, Rasmussen was an analyst at Oakley, a global lifestyle, apparel, and eyewear brand. Supporting the non-optical and advanced concepts group, he generated insights in support of product, supply chain, and capital planning. Rasmussen earned a B.S. in Finance from Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business & Economics, with a secondary focus in graphic and web design.
