"Financial Crimes"

A Special Briefing for Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley Members

Presented by:

Gregory Ligouri

Assistant Special Agent in Charge, San Francisco Field Office,

U.S. Secret Service

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Today, in addition to protecting the U.S. President, Vice President and other World Leaders, the U.S. Secret Service conducts global investigations into crimes against the financial infrastructure of the United States. This includes traditional threats like counterfeiting of U.S. currency, forgery or theft of U.S. Treasury bonds, credit card fraud, and identify fraud but their focus continues to evolve to protect U.S. Citizens and investors from online threats including Ransom Ware, Crypto Currency Scams, Cyber Fraud and cutting edge attacks with names as ominous as “Pig Butchering.”

The Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley is extremely proud to feature Shawn Bradstreet, U.S. Secret Service Special Agent In Charge, San Francisco Field Office, at our January 21, 2026 meeting at Orinda Country Club. Mr. Bradstreet will provide in-depth insights into current threats and actionable ideas on how we can continue to serve our client base and protect their assets. In addition, Mr. Bradstreet will share local San Francisco Bay Area case studies and recovery efforts for those affected by financial crimes.
