About Our Speakers:
Gus Kramer, Contra Costa County Assessor, Contra Costa County Assessor's Office. Gus Kramer has proudly served as Contra Costa County Assessor since 1994, bringing a remarkable 50+ years of public service experience and a results driven approach to local government. A lifelong county resident, Gus began his career with the Sheriff Coroner’s Office before holding key roles in the Probation and Public Works Departments. In 1986, he was elected Martinez City Clerk. As Assessor, Gus transformed the office into a model of innovation and efficiency. He streamlined operations, eliminated long-standing backlogs, and consistently delivered exceptional service—all while staying under budget. His efforts earned the office statewide recognition from the California State Board of Equalization as one of the best-managed Assessor’s Offices in the state. Gus holds a degree from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco. He is an active member of the California Assessors’ Association and the International Right of Way Association. Additionally, Gus has been a licensed real estate professional for over 44 years.
Vince Robb, Contra Costa County Assistant Assessor, Contra Costa County Assessor's Office. Vince Robb serves as the Assistant County Assessor for the Contra Costa County Assessor’s Office, where he plays a pivotal leadership role in daily operations and oversees the annual close of the assessment roll—a critical valuation process that determines property taxes. With nearly 20 years of experience in the Assessor’s Office, Vince has led virtually every aspect of its operations, including residential, commercial, and industrial appraisal, and complex ownership change determinations. He also leads the valuation teams in assessment appeal cases before the County’s Assessment Appeals Board. His extensive knowledge and leadership were instrumental in guiding the office to an outstanding State Board of Equalization audit survey result in December 2024, where the office earned a 99.78% accuracy rating, marking it as one of the best Assessor’s Offices in the State. A lifelong resident of Contra Costa County, Vince holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Saint Mary’s College of California. He is deeply engaged in his community and serves as the Chair of the Pacheco Municipal Advisory Council. Vince is also a volunteer youth soccer coach and has had one of the most unusual side gigs of working Red Carpet Security at major awards shows, including the Grammys and Golden Globes.
